SHILLONG, DEC 13: The People’s Democratic Front (PDF) is likely to announce its first list of candidates for the 2019 elections to the two tribal district councils in Khasi and Jaintia Hills region before Christmas.
Informing this here on Thursday, PDF leader and cabinet minister Hamletson Dohling said the party will release its first list of candidates before Christmas.
Asked, Dohling said party is also contemplating to set up candidates in all the 29 seats in the Khasi Hills Autonomous District Council (KHADC).
He however said that the party is yet to decide on the number of seats for the Jaintia Hills Autonomous District Council (JHADC) elections. According to him, the matter has been entrusted to the party’s zonal committees in Jaintia Hills region.
