Petrol bomb hurled at Tura

TURA, OCT 17: Unidentified miscreants on Monday hurled petrol-bomb and pelted stones at a locality, which is reeling under pressure after the death of a youth, who was beaten by residents on Thursday night. The incident took place around 6 pm. The situation has been brought under control with immediate police intervention. “Petrol bomb were hurled as well as stone pelted at the houses but that was stopped quickly. A Quick Response Team (QRT) is there on the spot with a police team posted there till the situation normalizes”, said Pravin Bakshi, deputy commissioner of West Garo Hills.-From Our Correspondent
