SHILLONG, SEPT 16: A police team in civil uniform arrested a businessman Bihlut Nongsteng of Lumshyiap after he was caught red handed to burn his own JCB excavator vehicle after he failed to clear the loan as the vehicle was financed by the Srei finance company The police made the arrest on Sunday night after getting the tip off.
Police said it also seized a truck bearing registration number ML 05 K 2745 along with bottle of petrol. Nongsteng is UDP Nongkrem circle general secretary. Police said the JCB was taken by Srei finance for defaulting on loan and was kept at Laihun Parking yard Laitkor, Mawarliang near Tata motors.- By Our Reporter
