Polytechnic teachers revised pay approved by cabinet

Shillong, Sept 5:  Cabinet has approved the implementation of the revised pay scale for the teachers of the Shillong Polytechnic as per recommendations of the All India Council for Teachers Education (AICTE).

After the cabinet meeting Wednesday evening chief minister Mukul Sangma informed reporters, “We have already implemented the revise pay scale and today we are approving it following the recommendations given by the AICTE.”

The cabinet has also made it mandatory for all society to renew their registration through the amendment of the Meghalaya Society Registration Rules. The renewal of the registration by societies will make it easier for the government to keep tap at the non-functional societies.

At present the society has to register only once and this has made it difficult for the government to know which societies are functional and which among them are non functional. – By Our Reporter
