City girl appeals for votes

PdianghunSHILLONG, NOV 6: Eighteen year old Pdianghun Kharbithai, a resident of Umpling Dongsharum, has made it to the top sixteen of the Northeast Ethnic Fashion and Voice Fusion organized by Better Life Foundation of Nagaland. Her dream of becoming a singer is just seems to be getting closer.

Kharbithai made her entry into the show through a live video and made it to the mega audition held at Dimapur on October 14. For this Shillong girl there was no turning back from the day she was selected at the audition. Now that she has made through the elimination round, she will have to depends for audience votes to clinch the winner’s title.

Sale of voting cards has already begun and she has appealed to the audience at her home state to vote for her so that she can make Meghalaya and her family proud.

Pdianghun began singing at a tender age of four and got immersed in her passion when also started composing her own songs during her high school days at Seven Set HS School. At present she is pursuing her English degree in the Women’s College, Shillong.

She is now appealing to the people of her state to vote for her to enable her to go to the second round which will be held on November 29 at Aizawl.

In order to create vibrant platform, identify, nurture and promote local artist and ethnic fashion designers in global market, the entertainment project covers Assam, Mizoram, Meghalaya, Manipur and Nagaland.- By Our Reporter
