SHILLONG, JAN 12 : The Shillong Press Club (SPC) expressed its sorrow over the demise of its member Nar Bahadur Rai working with the United News of India (UNI) Shillong bureau for over one and half decades. He expired on Thursday morning at the Nazareth hospital after a prolonged illness.
He is survived by his wife and three daughters. Rai is a resident of Manipur and his body was taken today in the afternoon where the last rites would be performed. The SPC president David Laitphlang said in a statement that while the SPC condoles his death, all its members pray for the eternal peace of the departed soul and also pray to give strengthen to his bereaved family.
