SHILLONG, JULY 6: The Education Research Development Foundation (ERDF) along with the University of Science & Technology Meghalaya (USTM) will felicitate toppers of this year’s SSLC and HSSLC Examinations conducted by Meghalaya Board of Secondary Education (MBOSE) on July 9 at the Anthon hall in Don Bosco.
A galaxy of state luminaries like former chief ministers DD Lapang, Donkupar Roy, minister M Ampareen Lyngdoh, former minister Manas Chaudhuri, NEHU vice chancellor Prof P Shukla and NEHU pro vice-chancellor Prof B Myrboh will also grace the occasion.
After the felicitation of the students, a panel discussion on ‘Higher Education in Meghalaya: Challenges Ahead’ would be held at the same venue and will be jointly moderated by Manas Chaudhuri and Dr Manash Das Gupta, head of department of Chemistry, St Anthony’s College Shillong. Fidel War, former chairman of Meghalaya Public Service Commission, and honorary director ERDF will also participate in the programme.
The Organisers have appealed to the people to attend the programme in large numbers to encourage the outstanding students. The programme is schedule to start at 9.30 am. – By Our Reporter
