SHILLONG, JULY 13: In a simple but impressive function at the Youth Hostel on Saturday, new executive members of the Fashion Society Shillong (FSS) were installed in the presence of former Meghalaya home minister JM Pariat, who is the chief patron of the society. The new executive members includes – Executives Chairperson- Sabina Parvez Warjri, Vice Chairperson- Saraswati Rai, Finance Secretary- Miss Sanchia Khongwir, Secretary P.R –Anindita Kakoty, Joint P.R- Deigratia Nongrum, Secretary Fashion –Arif Mukhim, Secretary Logistic- Marc Nongmaithem, General Secretary –Ibanrishisha Marwein.
Besides, Nupur Saigal, Suzan Swer and Rebecca Syiem were also elected as members of the FSS.
Nupur Saigal was recently crowned as Mrs Asia International 2015, which was recently held in Malaysia.
Dignitaries who spoke on the occasion lauded the efforts of the FSS.
According to them, since its inception in the last 32 years term, the society as an institution has contributed enormously in promoting the youth and the inherent talent.They expressed confidence that the society will continue to reinvent itself with creative innovative events.- By Our Reporter
