Tribute paid to late Tariang

SHILLONG, APR 10: Meghalaya Pradesh Congress Committee-MPCC- condoled the death of JE Tariang on Friday and expressed profound grief and sorrow at the sudden demise of Tariang whp died on April 9. Tariang was the founding president of the Meghalaya PCC and ex Rajya Sabha MP.

The condolence meeting held at Congress Bhavan under the chairmanship of MPCC vice president AH Scott Lyngdoh recalled Tariang’s valuable contributions towards the growth and progress of the state since its inception and also placed on record its deep sense of gratitude to for his role in setting up the Congress Bhawan and for steering the party organization on two occasions as its president.

Meghalaya home minister Roshan Warjri paid glowing tribute to late Shri Tariang and recalled his qualities of head and heart and expressed her condolences to the bereaved family.- By Our Reporter
