Viksit Bharat Sankalp yatra will cover 49 villages in Thadlaskein Block

The Office of the Deputy Commissioner, West Jaintia Hills District, Jowai in collaboration with the Ministry of Tribal Affairs observes Hamara Sankalp Viksit Bharat at Thadlaskein C&RD Block, West Jaintia Hills. 

The awareness programe was held at ATS Kyortyrkhang, Khliehtyrshi West Jaintia Hills District. The officers from the Block office, KVK, Agriculture, Branch Manager SBI, Jowai, representatives from LPG gas agency and others educated the participants of the various government schemes that include, PMAY, PMJAY, NRML, Atal Pension Yojna, PM Jan Dhan Yojana, Nano fertilizers and other schemes, a similar programme was also held at Moopyllaitsyiar, Khliehtryshi today.

Viksit pledge was taken by the participants led by Shri. B. Langbang, BDO of Thadlaskein Block.

Shri. B. Langbang, has informed that the Viksit Bharat Sankalp is initiated by the Central Government to reach out to the public through the IEC (Information, Education and Communication) Van. The IEC Van will travel to 49 villages in Thadlaskein Block to spread awareness about government welfare schemes.

During the awareness programme the medical department has conducted free health screening including BP test, TB screenings, along with smart card service.

The beneficiaries from the government scheme were also given an opportunity to share their experience.  A short skit was also presented by the VO of the village with a message on protecting the environment.
