SHILLONG, FEB 20: A woman from Mizoram was recently convicted to six months imprisonment by the Court of Special Judge (Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act), Shillong for her involvement in a case of drugs smuggling.
In an order issued by the court on February 18, Lalthazauli Ralte has been found guilty under section 21 of the NDPS Act and accordingly has been convicted to six months imprisonment.
Ralte was arrested by the police and ANTF staffs who raided her rented house in the city and seized two grams of Herion from her possession on February 16.
A case was registered and she was accordingly charge sheeted. The case was investigated by sub inspector MA Marak.- By Our Reporter
