Bus passengers looted

SHILLONG, OCT 30: Armed miscreants hijacked a night super bus and looted its passengers in a village in East Jaintia hills district in wee hours of Wednesday, police said. The incident took place at around 12.15 am when a group of six armed miscreants came on a Maruti van and waylaid the night super bus (AS O1E 9177) driven by Jogesh Singh at Khliehriat petrol pump, police informed.

Police said the miscreants looted the passengers after assaulting them and later forcibly drove the bus to Chiruphi village, abandoned the vehicle and fled away. A case has been registered and police are still investigating into the case.- By Our Reporter
