SHILLONG, MAY 10: A driver and helper of the 108-Ambulance died after the vehicle fell into a deep gorge on Wednesday afternoon.
The incident took place at around 3 pm, when the ambulance vehicle plunged into a gorge at Kreit village under Mawngap police station in East Khasi Hills District, police said.
They said the deceased have been identified as Teiborlang Lyngdoh (32), who was the driver of the ill-fated ambulance and Kyrshanbor Marwein (32), his helper.
