SHILLONG, JUNE 30: Two persons died on the spot after a scooty collided with a motorcycle, which led to them falling on the backside of a loaded truck.
 The incident took place at Jingkieng Mawlai Iewrynghep at 7.30 pm on Tuesday.
Police said the deceased have been identified as jerffery Hynniewta (25) and Shidalin Kharhujon (18) of Mawlai Mawiong Rim.
They said Jerffery and Shidalin were proceeding on a scooty (ML O5 Q 7901) from Mawlai point towards Lumdiengjri and on reaching Jingkieng Mawlai Iewrynghep collided with one motorcycle (ML O5 T 2773) which was coming from opposite direction.
As a result, both of them fell on the backside of the tyres of a loaded truck (AS 23 BC 5040) and died on the spot, police said. Both dead bodies have been taken to Shillong civil hospital.
