21 returned from Nepal

SHILLONG, JUNE 30: Over 19,000 people stranded in different parts of the country and abroad have come back to the state.

 Health Minister AL Hek told reporters on Tuesday that 21 of 19,016 people have returned to the state from Nepal.

“The returnees from Nepal are all residents of the state and they have been sent to quarantine centre at Polo Towers,” he said.

Asked, the minister said samples have also been collected and test results are being awaited.

According to him, the government cannot stop its citizens from returning to the state.
