SHILLONG, JAN 25: Three personnel from the Meghalaya Civil Defence & Home Guards organization were awarded the Home Guards and Civil Defence Medals on the occasion of Republic Day.
The President’s Home Guards & Civil Defence Medal for Distinguished Service has been awarded to Shri. Willy Nonglang, Dy. Controller (CD), Nongstoin,West Khasi Hills. The Home Guards & Civil Defence Medal for Meritorious Service has been awarded to Shri. Kukesh Sangma, Sub-Inspector, District Training Center, Shillong and Shri. Liver Lyngdoh, Havildar, Meghalaya Secretariat Home Guards (MSHG).
The trio are amongst only 8 (eight) other recipients of these Medals from the Civil Defence and Home Guards Organisation from the North East, this Republic Day.
