Three persons were detained and later released on bail bond after they were involved in a mob assault case at Mawthlong village in East Khasi Hills District.
They have been identified as Skerling Pyrtuh (39) and Kyntiewnam Pyrtuh (28) from Mawthlong village and Traibor Lyngdoh (30) from Nongbsap, district SP Rituraj Ravi said on Tuesday.
“The trios were detained last night from Mawthlong village at around 12.30 am and today at around 12 noon, they were released on bail bond after thorough interrogation,” he said.
According to him, investigation into the matter is under progress.
