SHILLONG, JULY 15:Â The Deputy Commissioner (Excise), West Garo Hills, has informed that the department had conducted raids in the entire district of West Garo Hills and have arrested 30 persons under Section 53 (1) (a) of ME Act during the month of May and June. A total of 30 cases were detected with seizure amounting to approximately 57.39 litres of IMFL, 52.65 litres of beer and 11.56 litres of i/d liquor.
In this regard 25 cases were disposed of and a fine amounting to Rs. 53,900 was realised.
