ANVC (B) cautions cadres on bank a/cs

SHILLONG, JUNE 30: Disbanded Achik National Volunteer’s Council – Breakaway (ANVC.B) today cautioned its cadres from submitting their bank account numbers to the state departments.

In a statement issued here on Friday, former ANVC.B Chairman Bernard N Marak said, “If anybody is submitting their account no without the knowledge of the leaders, ANVC.B will not take any responsibility of those cadres in the claim for Rs 2.5 lakh.

He informed that it has been decided in the last meeting that the state government will submit the list of 139 cadres.

Out of this, the government had claimed that the rehabilitation package of Rs 1.5 lakh each have been sanctioned to 49 ANVC.B cadres along with 362 ANVC cadres, he said.

“However, the state government has sanctioned the rehabilitation to the 49 cadres without informing the leaders of the organization,” Marak said.

Stating that the list of cadres are to be submitted to the ANVC.B leaders within one month, the former chairman said that the ANVC.B is supposed to get a package of Rs 2.5 lakh each in line of Manipur as agreed by former DGP SK Jain before disbanding.

According to him, UALA, which is a faction of ANVC.B received package of Rs 2.5 lakh.

In view of this, the mother organization ANVC.B is also supposed to get the same amount, he added.
