ANVC (B) new song album

SHILLONG, DEC 18: As the yuletide is gradually gripping the state, the ANVC (B) is coming up with new Christmas Album “Juta Gital” (New Shoe) as the outfit  gift to the people of the state on the occasion of Christmas.

ANVC (B) member Doang Shira in a state issued on Wednesday said that ANVC (B) songs have made a big impact on the minds of young people and its songs have strong messages with unique improvisation which have followings among the young and old alike.

Shira claims that ‘Bisan sal’ and ‘Kupatiani’ songs are very popular and are heard everywhere in Garo hills. He informed that the funds generated from the album will be used in the camps for as the outfit cannot send its member to their families this Christmas for fear of ending up in jail.

Shira said, “We have been called and later abandoned by the government but we will not give up.”  He said that government had invited them and later trapped them without giving it any support or assistance and now they are hunting them.

Shira said that corruption is the root of all evil and the ANVC (B) see the effort of the police to arrest and harass them as an attempt to push them back to jungle and force them to take up arms as government is now scared of GNLA.

The ANVC (B) along with its parent body ANVC is currently under truce with union and state governments.- By Our Reporter
