BJP a laughing stock: Tynsong

SHILLONG, FEB 23: NPP leader and Deputy Chief Minister Prestone Tynsong on Tuesday said the BJP has become a laughing stock in the state.

“Are not these people becoming a laughing stock? On one hand you say MDA is corrupted and on the other hand you say please sleep together with them. Is it logical?” Tynsong told reporters.

“The people of Meghalaya are experts, they know. I am telling you these allegations made by the BJP state unit are illogical and they will become a laughing stock,” he further hit back at the state leadership of the BJP.

Reacting to a statement made by the BJP state vice president D Chakraborty that the party is ready to iron out the issues, the deputy chief minister stated that there is no question of discussion with them.

“It is totally illogical. What discussion we should discuss, we already discussed. Everything has already been discussed in the coordination committee also,” he said.

Asking the BJP to tell its MLAs to pull out of the MDA, Tynsong said, “The simplest way is if your allegation is so serious just act as action speaks louder than words.”
