Boost to NPP ahead of polls

SHILLONG, JAN 27: In what is being termed as a boost to the National People’s Party (NPP), Suly Lyngdoh along with his supporters joined the party and will be contesting from Mawsynram constituency in the upcoming KHADC elections. According to the NPP spokesperson James Sangma Lyngdoh joined the party in the presence of NPP state president WR Kharlukhi and working president Conrad k.Sangma.

Lyngdoh had contested the 2013 MLA elections as Independent candidate but lost, he however had secured an impressive 4500 votes.  NPP will be putting up a few more candidates in Khasi hills and Jaintia hills district council elections. James Sangma informed that the NPP will be releasing name of the other candidates very soon. – by Our Reporter
