SHILLONG, SEPT 15: A twenty-two year old youth was arrested after he allegedly raped and murder his own cousin sister, whose body was recovered from a jungle near ITI in Rynjah on Tuesday.
The accused identified as Ricky Mawrie (22) was arrested yesterday and on his leading, the body of his 27 years old cousin sister was recovered near ITI at Rynjah, a senior police officer said. Both the families of the accused and deceased are staying in Rynjah locality.
The police official informed that the accused had confessed that he had raped and killed his sister. According to him, the deceased was reported missing since Thursday last week.
The motive behind the murder is still being investigated, he added.- By Our Reporter
