SHILLONG, JAN 11: West Garo hills district administration has requested the citizens not to touch or lift unclaimed baggage, containers and similar suspicious looking objects lying abandoned in front of shops and public places. The request comes following the IED blast at Williamnagar market few days ago.
The district administration said if any such suspicious objects are sighted or found the general public are requested to inform the police helpline numbers immediately at 03651- 222111, 90893-98451, 84158- 97291, and 87300- 65429.
Moreover, the public have also been advised not to operate electrical appliances, touch or open any unclaimed object or baggage and not to use radio or cell phone in the vicinity of the unidentified object.-By Our Reporter
