Drug smugglers arrested

SHILLONG, JUNE 11: The police’s Narcotic Task Force arrested two persons for alleged possession of banned drugs on Wednesday. The two have been identified as Micheal Kharkongor (38) and Bimal Chanda, (28) and were arrested from Happy Valley block-E, East Khasi hills district SP M Kharkrang informed.

Kharkhrang said they two were arrested by the Anti Narcotic Task Force of the district for possession of banned drugs. From their possession, the police recovered two golden tobacco container containing heroin of two gms kept in a blue Maruti 800 (ML 05-F-3615) and local taxi (ML 05-G-8039) used by the accused.- By Our Reporter
