EKH DM&HO to conduct IPPI on March 4

The office of the District Medical & Health Officer, East Khasi Hills, will conduct the Intensified Pulse Polio Immunization Programme (IPPI) 2024 in the District on 4^th March, 2024 from 9 am- 5 pm in the arranged booths throughout the District to be followed by house to house search and coverage activity on the 5^th and 6^th March, 2024. The goal of the programme is to eradicate Poliomyelitis and to vaccinate all children under five years of age against polio virus in the District in particular and the State as a whole. All parents are therefore requested to bring their children below 5 years of age to the arranged booths in their respective locality for vaccination. Headmen, NGOs, Church leaders etc., are also requested to join hands with the Department of Health & Family Welfare for the success of the programme so that our children are protected from the wild polio virus and to eliminate this dreaded disease.
