Shillong, August 31: Irked by “bad network” the FKJGP Mairang circle locked the office of Aircel situated at Lyngdoh Masi, Mairang Friday. Earlier the Reliance Company was locked because of the same reason.
FKJGP Mariang circle president Bobby Basaiawmoit, general secretary Humble, asst general secretary Kenneth A Majaw along with other members put a padlock on the Tower of Aircel.
Justifying their action, the FKJGP said that they had pleaded with the Aircel officials’ innumerable times about the bad network but the only response they got was that they have written to their Aircel head Dwipendra Sutar (Technical Manager).
After three months when the network continued to be bad, the FKJGP members said, they decided to teach the telecom company a lesson by closing down their AL Tele Service office.
The FKJGP has also issued warning to those supplying top-up or recharge card to stop selling with immediate effect until the ban is revoked. The Aircel company has also been directed to provide better service, especially during weekly market days when the service is used many people.- By Our Reporter
