Graveyard desecrated

SHILLONG, OCT 1: Miscreants desecrated at least nine graves in a city cemetery on Tuesday night, police said.  Nine graves were desecrated by unknown miscreants at Mawlai Presbyterian Church graveyard at Lawmali, East Khasi Hills SP M Kharkrang informed.  Police officials from Pastuer Beat House inspected the desecrated graves on Wednesday evening.

During the inspection, crosses on top of the graveyards were being kept upside down.  Meanwhile, the SP informed a case has been registered and police are on the job to nab the culprits behind such act.- By Our Reporter
