IIM student commit suicide

SHILLONG, DEC 5: IIM-Shillong- post graduate program student Shalini Raju committed suicide by hanging herself from a ventilation rod at her room at around 11:15 am at the women’s hostel. Police said she left behind a note seeking forgiveness from her parents for not able to cope up with life.

East Khasi hills (city ) SP Vivek Syiem said the twenty-eighty years old hailed from Kerela student  and had joined the IIM-campus in June earlier this year.

The note blamed herself for taking her own life and sought forgiveness from her parents and grandparents for failing to cope up with life.

Syiem said the body of the student was taken to the North Eastern Indira Gandhi Regional Institute of Health and Medical Sciences at Mawdiangdiang for post mortem.

Police said her family members have been informed and they are expected to arrive tomorrow before the post mortem.
