Its mania time for bikers’ in Sohra

SHILLONG, JAN 19: Sohra, or Cherrapunjee as popular known, not only is the wettest place on planet earth, but on Saturday it also became the starting point of around six hundred bikers- the biggest so far in north east India- from across the country for the Royal Enfield- “ Rider Mania 2013”adventure  organized by the Kingfisher Blue Mile in collaboration with  Shillong based Stormbingers rider mania group.

The two-day event which is the first ever biker congregation to be held in the North Eastern part of the country was organized by the Kingfisher Blue Mile – a crafted entity of reiterate Kingfisher Blue’s affinity with adventure in collaboration with Stormbingers from Shillong rider mania group.

The two days event saw the participation of the Royal Enfield bikers coming from as far as Delhi, Chennai, Punjab and other north eastern states at the Pala Resorts, Sohra (Cherrapunjee).

Apt to the “Rider Mania” sobriquet given to the bikers’ meet, the ride was high on adrenaline as the participants took part in games, music and Kingfisher Blue beer which made this adventure for the bikers a lifetime experience.

“Kingfisher Blue has deep rooted affinity with adrenaline junkies and easily connects with the youth of the country. For all those who love living life on the edge, the Rider Mania couldn’t have been a better opportunity,” Samar Singh Sheikhawat who is a Senior Vice President Marketing, United Breweries Ltd told reporters.

Sheikhawat also said, “We look forward to associating with many such exciting and adrenaline pumping activities in future.”

The bikers also participated in fun-filled biking sports games like Figure of 8 & Slow race and indulged in camaraderie driven adrenaline rush activities like Bite My Banana and tug-of war. DJ nites and live bands were also in place to enthrall the riders and enthusiasts with their foot tapping music during the wee hours of the moon lit night.- By Our Reporter
