SHILLONG,AUG 17: The West Jaintia Hills deputy commissioner said that the administration has taken cognizance that various ngos, pressure groups and vested interest are conducting anti-infiltration, checking of migrant labourers which is illegal.  He warned   that if any ngos are found to indulge in such acts, severe action will be taken against them under the Law.
The deputy commissioner informed that only police and anti-infiltration units are empowered to conduct such checking. He also requested the public to bring to the attention of the district administration if they happen to find any violation of this order.- By Our Reporter
