SHILLONG, MAY 14: Four Khasi Students’ Union (KSU) members involved in torching of a government vehicle surrendered before the East Khasi hills district SP M Kharkhrang on Tuesday but were later released on bail. Kharkhrang said, “The four were involved in the torching a parked government Bolero (ML – 01- 6113) at Forest Colony on May 1, 2013.”.
Kharkhrang said the members surrendered after being produced by the executive members of the central body of KSU. He informed, “They were earlier identified by the police as being involved in the arson case.”
The four members who surrendered includes KSU Mawlai Nonglum unit sports secretary Beneslaus Khyriem alias Malos (21),
Kharkhrang said as the offence is bail-able they were later released on bail. By Our Reporter
