SHILLONG, APR 1: Two youths were arrested by police for allegedly raping a lady and filming the act through a mobile phone at Syntu Ksiar, Jowai the district headquarter of West Jaintia hills district on Sunday. The arrested have been identified as Chanki Laloo (23) and Franky Suchiang (22) and the arrest was made on Monday before they could attempt to misuse the video clipping, police said.
As per the FIR of the victim, who is a resident of New hill in Jowai, it alleged that at around 5 pm while she was on her way from Myntdu to New Hill she met one person and his friend who offered her a lift in their Maruti car (ML-04-5762). However, the driver forcibly took her to Syntu Ksiar and raped her, while his friend took a video clip of incident in his mobile phone, the victim FIR alleged.- By Our Reporter
