SHILLONG, APR 21: The Liberation of Achik Elite Force (LAEF) Commander-in-Chief (CIC) Riksrang G Momin said that the three who were arrested by police recently from Maweit area in West Khasi Hills District are not members of the outfit.
Momin said in a statement on Monday that the three arrested identified as Phijo R Marak, Chang R Marak and Thiuss G Momin are not his outfit cadres and their activities are self centered and for their benefits.
Condemning the illegal activities carried out in the name of the LAEF, Momin said, “I had earlier directed the commander in-charge of Khasi Hills Augustine Marak to carry out operations against such persons defaming the name of the outfit but it was not successful.”
Momin, however, warned that the outfit has taken strong note of such activities tarnishing its image and would take stern action against those who tries to defame the outfit.- By Our Report
