Langsning drew against Bhawanipore, picks a point

bangalore1BANGALORE, APR 5: It was an injury time goal by Victor Shadap that helped Langsning FC to hold Bhawanipore FC to a 3-3 draw on Thursday on the ongoing final round match of the 2nd division I-Ieague played at the Bangalore football stadium.

With the draw the Shillong based Langsning football club also collected one point in their kitty from three matches.

It was the Kolkata based Bhawanipore who drew early blood when Hudson Lima Silvas shot from outside the box in the seven minutes of the game found the net. However, the Shillong boys were in no mood to be intimidated by their opponent and four minutes later Yinka Joel Sunday free kick from 30 yard found the back of the net leveling the score.

But the Kolkata team strike back when in the twenty-five  minute of the game  Mohammad Yosef Masuriqi shot home Abinash Rudias cross ball. Till the lemon break the score line was reading 2-1.

Changing sides Langsning came all charged and was raiding the rival’s goal but it was only in the sixty-nine minutes of the game substitute Jagannath Sanas powerful shot from the danger arc found the back of the net in the far post.

Seeing Langsning raiding their goal post and mounting pressure Bhawanipore coach Juliano Fontana replaced striker Hudson Lima Silva with defender Amit Singha Roy. In the 72nd minute of the game Moirangthem Ashok Singh had scored a goal but the celebration was cut short as he was caught off side.
Undettered Langsning continued to play to win and it was on the seventy-five minutes skipper Daniel Bidemi Ayeni tabbed the Joel set ball home reducing the margin.

When four minutes was left to the added time that substitute Victor Shadap powerful shot from the box found the Bhawanipore net equalizing the match 3-3.- By Suraj Joshi
