The MSSASA has a total of 12,481 members, the SSA teachers who had undergone the Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.ED) programme 2013-2014 as sponsored by the government of Meghalaya.

The teacher trainees however could not obtain the professional certificate till date for the purpose of having qualification as trained teacher despite the programme was expected to be completed within December 16, 2015.

The notice also charged the NIOS of failing to reply to the earlier representations submitted by the MSSASA which include the recent one after it found out that the institute has not taken any corrective measures to remove the anomalies.

“You (NIOS) have failed to reply rather you have kept my client in dar. My client submits that anomalies as pointed out by have been continuing till date,” Chisa said.

He was referring to result declared by the NIOS on three occasions which include September 9, 2016, November 4, 2016 and June 22, this year.

According to him, the MSSASA was hoping that the anomalies might have been removed but it was not done except the correction done half-heartedly in case of few candidates.

“The lackadaisical and lethargic attitude in the matter has made the members of my client those appeared the above examination as worst sufferer and their grievances still remained unattended,” he added.

He further stated that the MSSASA further stated that the examination fees as demanded is highly improper and uncalled for in view of the fact that the anomalies as pointed out is yet to be corrected.

In as much as the examination fees were paid earlier for examination appeared already by the members of the association, it is a needless harassment, he stated.
