Man attempts to commit suicide

Shillong, August 2: Thirty-five year old Pharlan Nongseij tried to commit suicide by slitting his throat on Thursday morning but he was immediately brought to Shillong Civil Hospital where condition is is stated to be stable. Police have filed a criminal case against him.

Hospital authority said that Nongseij is deranged and he was rushed to the hospital by his uncle. He is a resident of Pynhnung village in Mawkyrwat.
