SHILLONG, MAY 19: The Meghalaya Cricket Association on Thursday congratulated NPP candidate Conrad Sangma, who is also president of the association, for his landslide victory in the Tura Lok Sabha bye-election.
In a statement issued on Thursday, MCA honorary secretary Naba Bhattacharjee said, “It is indeed a victory for all lovers of true democracy and a tribute to late PA Sangma and his philosophy. Your victory shall also usher in good tidings for the sports lovers of the state, particularly cricket which will receive a big impetus at a time when a lot of positive activities are taking place.”
