SHILLONG, JUNE 20: West Jaintia Hills police on Wednesday found a 17-year-old girl after she was reportedly gone missing from home.
Acting on the complaint filed by her mother, WPSI B Shadap along with staff from Women police station immediately enquired into the case.
The girl was recovered from her aunt’s house at Sohryngkham village, district SP Lakador Syiem said.
“After enquiry, the case is ascertained to be purely a case of elopement,” he said.
He informed that the missing child was then sent for medical examination to Civil Hospital, Ialong and later handed over to Childline member for necessary action.
