SHILLONG, JULY 29: The Civil Society Women Organization (CSWO) has condemned a doctor in West Khasi Hills for molesting a minor girl recently.
“The organization strongly condemns the act and demand that such doctor, who abused his position should not get bail and as sexual abuse of children are heinous crimes it is needed to be effectively addressed by the Welfare State, so that children are safe and not hounded by such perpetrators,” CSWO president Agnes Kharshiing said in a statement issued here on Wednesday.
She said added to the sexual abuse, the doctor also took videos of the child and used it for pornographic purposes.
The CSWO lauds those who helped the victim and also the prompt action of the West Khasi Hills police who arrested him immediately.
