Murder accused arrested

SHILLONG, MAY 16: Michael Sangma was arrested on Thursday for murdering his roommate at their residence in Lumshngain Rynjah on Wednesday. Sangma who is from Darrang village in Assam stabbed his twenty-three year old friend Nilu Sangma with a knife and was later declared dead in the Shillong Civil Hospital

Police said preliminary investigation revealed that on Wednesday the two of them got into a fight which led Michael to stab Nilu with a knife. The two were staying together and were working in St Anthony’s College canteen. Nilu worked as a cook, while the accused was his helper. – By Our Reporter
