NEHUSU expresses concern

SHILLONG, MAY 3: The North Eastern Hill University Students Union (NEHUSU) on Friday expressed concern over the matter that most of the under-graduate stduents have secured less marks that their internal assessment on certain papers during the fifth semester exams.

“The students cannot be held responsible for such an indecent grading and the NEHUSU believed that there is a flaw in the system,” the Union said in a statement here while taking cognizance of the complaints from students of various colleges affiliated to NEHU.

It has also called upon aggrieved students to submit their e-mark sheet to the NEHUSU office within a week after receiving this notification in order to take up this issue with the higher authorities.

The Union also assured that it is willing to look into this matter and said it will strive to solve this problem of the students as soon as possible. It has also sought the cooperation of the various colleges which are affiliated to NEHU on the issue.

According to the student body, if this is how students’ hardwork is being repaid then it will take away the enthusiasm and motivation from them especially those who want to pursue further studies.
