SHILLONG, JULY 13: Secondary School Leaving Certificate and Higher Secondary School Leaving Certificate students residing in Dong Ktieh, Nongrah locality, who successfully passed the Meghalaya Board of Schools Education-2016 with flying colours were felicitated by  Dong Ktieh Seng Samla  in the presence of  Vice Chancellor of Martin Luther Christian University and former Meghalaya minister RG Lyngdoh, Gideon Kharmawphlang, parents and locality member.

In the SSLC category, Idakmen Shisha Marbaniang secured 84.83 per cent, Giovanni Donnavar War  81.16 per cent, Siensyntiew Kharbudon, Cynthia Lydia Marbaniang, Edingson Tlang 64 per cent, ,Dadei Shisha Pyngrope 61 per cent and Wandashisha Nongrum 47.5 per cent.

In the HSSLC category, Cammillia Jean Bakordor Syiem, Darihun Kharbangar and Wanri Kyntiew Lyngdoh were also felicitated.

Speaking on the occasion, Lyngdoh, who graced the occasion as the chief guest, said Martin Luther Christian University is willing to provide counseling to students on other job opportunities other than government employment. He said government job has reached saturation point and students should look forward for taking up other jobs in tune with their caliber, potentials and talents. State government officer Gideon Kharmawkhlang urged the students to be willing to study outside state to ensure a better career in life.-By Our Reporter
