NPP condemns attack

SHILLONG, MAY 21: The National People’s Party (NPP) has strongly condemned the brutal attack and killing of its party MLA of Khonsa West Tirong Aboh, his son and his followers in Arunachal Pradesh on Tuesday.

“NPP is extremely shocked and saddened by the news of the death of its Arunachal MLA Tirong Aboh and his family. We condemn the brutal attack and urge the Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Rajnath Singh to take action against those responsible for such attack,” NPP national president and Meghalaya chief minister Conrad K Sangma said in his tweets.

NPP national vice president and charman of the North East Coordination Committee (NECC) DD Lapang also vehemently condemned the attack and said, “I am deeply saddened to hear the unexpected loss of Tirong Aboh. The attack is a cowardly and merciless act of killing of innocent people.”

The NPP NECC also expressed its heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families and pray to give them strength in these trying times and pray for the eternal repose of the departed soul.
