NONGSTOIN, FEB 5: The flying squad from Nongstoin ceased an NPP flag from a car along with two bottle of oaken glow alcohol from inside the car of the NPP supporters on Tuesday.
The car with a Registration Number of ML 05E- 1015 belonging to Mathiew Sohbar from Shallang village, a supporter of Shimbor Diengngan, an NPP candidate from Mawshynrut Assembly constituency
Flying squad officer said that the seizure of the NPP flag is because it was use in the car without getting the necessary permission from the district administration which is against the code of conduct of the Election Commission.
The officer also informed that the flying squad got information that there are some vehicle displaying the NPP flag in the cars without taking permission from the election department and they immediately rushed to the spot and found the vehicle with the flag.
The NPP flag along with two bottles of alcohol has been seized and taken away to DC office and these will be taken as an election expenditure of the candidate, said the flying squad member.-By Our Reporter
