Shillong, Sept 18: The National People’s Party (NPP) has extended its support to the “Bharat Bandh” called by the NDA and supported by other political parties on September 20.The decision to support the bandh was taken on September 18.
The NPP meeting viewed with concern what it described as “the anti-people policies undertaken by the Central Govt. with regard to rise in prices of diesel, cooking gas and FDI retail.”
The meeting strongly condemned the anti people policies of the UPA government and demanded the immediate roll back of the price of diesel and restrictions on the normal supply of cooking gas so that the poor are not once again overburdened with this ill-timed policies of an inconsiderate government-By Our Reporter
