SHILLONG, FEB 13: The Oil India Limited (OIL) will be hosting the 19th Petroleum Sports Promotion Board (PSBP) inter unit Veteran Cricket Tournament for the first time in Shillong from February 14 to 19.
“We chose Shillong as it quite an attractive place to hold the tournament. People participating in the tourney have expressed their excitement to come down here,” the organizers said in a press conference held on Thursday.
The tournament will be held at Polo ground, Shillong.
Altogether, eight teams from the national oil public sector undertakings like ONGCL, BPCL, HPCL, GAIL, NRL, EIL, IOCL will be participating in the tournament, the organiser said.
According to them, the objective of the PSPB, established in 1979, is to develop, promote, encourage, co-ordinate and organize various sports and games in the petroleum sector and the country at large.- By Our Reporter
