OSD to guv appointed

SHILLONG, NOV 30: The State Cabinet today approved the appointment of Dr Manoj Sadhwani as the officer on special duty (OSD) to Governor of Meghalaya Ganga Prasad.

Addressing reporters after the meeting held here, Chief Minister Mukul Sangma said that the decision was based on the special request of the governor.

Asked, he said that it is the requirement of the governor and the cabinet has accordingly considered the request. He said that the salary for the officer on special duty has been fixed at Rs 50,000.
