Quake hits city, NE states

SHILLONG, MAY 7: An earthquake, measuring 4.0 on the Richter scale, rocked Meghalaya and other northeastern states and parts of Bangladesh on Saturday  at around 3. 13 am with  East Khasi Hills district as it epicentre.  Assam, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Tripura, Nagaland, Arunachal Pradesh and Manipur in the northeastern region are considered as the sixth major earthquake-prone belt in the world.-By Our Reporter
