Shillong, Oct 27: With the summary revision of electoral roll under way, the Royal Enfield Riders Association of Meghalaya (RERAM) Saturday took part in the East Khasi Hills Deputy Commissioner’s campaign to get as much people to register their names in the electoral roll.
East Khasi Hills DC S Goyal flagged off the rally of about fifty Royal Enfield motorcycles from Polo ground, as they tagged banners urging the people to elect their representatives wisely.
Speaking to www.ohmeghalaya.com, Goyal said the campaign is very effective and he is happy with the outcome so far. “Since the campaign took off on the first of this month, we have been successful as many people have come forward to register and we expect more by the end of the month,” Goyal said.-By Our Reporter
